::Lush Locks Hair Extensions Review::

Cinnamon/Auburn Lush Locks in sunlight
I just received a set of clip-in Lush Locks hair extensions from My Pink Vanity. Now, I have been through my fair share of extensions; both clip-ins and fusion. These Lush Locks are by far my favorite. The ones I ordered are 20'' 120 grams in Cinnamon [auburn].

Lush Locks extensions are human remy hair. The term remy refers to the way the hair is collected. It is bundled with the hair cuticle facing the same way - the root end at the top & the tips at the bottom - the way our hair naturally grows. This ensures that the extensions look more natural and will not tangle as much.

My Pink Vanity offers three different lengths [20", 22", 24"] and each length comes in two different weights, or thickness [120g fine/med or 160g medium/thick]. I ordered the 120g fine/medium set. The length is more than enough. I'm 5'4" and it comes down to my waist. However, the amount of hair is just not enough. The density of the fine/medium set is perfect, there just aren't enough wefts [rows of extensions] to blend in my short hair.

I just ordered a second set today, and I will be adding a few pieces  I'm guessing 1.5 sets will be perfect for me! Now, before you tell me I should have just bought the 160g set, I have had a set from another brand that was 160 grams, and it was just too heavy and bulky. If you have thicker or coarser hair, I'd say go 160, but I have a small head & fine hair, and it just looked plain silly.

One of the reasons I really wanted to write this review, is because when I was looking for photos, reviews, videos, ANYTHING to show me what the Cinnamon color looked like, I couldn't anything. The swatches on the Lush Locks site aren't exactly amazing. Judging solely by the swatch and the "famous face" photo that was posted; I expected the hair to be a couple shades darker. It's a gorgeous color, and I love it, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

You can tell by the photos, that it's a beautiful color.  It's not highlighted, but you can tell it has natural tones and highlights. It's not just all one solid color, like hair can be when its box dyed.

If you are concerned about matching your hair, or are uneasy about trusting the online swatches, I suggest going to the My Pink Vanity facebook page. The owner of the company, Amy runs the page, and she is lovely. She answers questions all the time, even the same ones over and over. You can post or private message her any questions or concerns you may have. You can also see tons of photos of other customers wearing the extensions. This will give you an idea of the look and color choices.

If you order, and the color is just too off, you can return the product as long as it is unopened. The extensions come in a long clear plastic sleeve, so you are able to check the color without opening the product. Get the specifics on the return policy here

However, there is one other not-so-amazing thing. Sometimes these extensions are difficult to get a hold of. They are very popular, and are often sold out. This is good, because it means they are a good product, however if you need them for a specific date, I would definitely plan and order ahead. They company does what they can to make it easy on us. They offer pre-orders, and let people know when they will have certain colors or lengths available.

Overall, I would give my experience with My Pink Vanity a 9/10. The customer service is great, the shipping was fast. The extensions are super silky, the ends are full and not stringy. The swatches and low stock can be frustrating, but if you're on the fence, I say go for it!

** DISCLAIMER** I purchased these extensions with my own money. I am in no way affiliated with my pink vanity or lush locks. I did not receive any sort of compensation for posting this review, and these are my honest opinions.
